Jacob Meister is of counsel to Kluever & Platt, LLC., where he is a valuable compliment to the litigation team. Mr. Meister’s practice is limited exclusively to complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on real estate related and creditor’s rights litigation including defense of TILA, HOEPA and class action lawsuits. Mr. Meister and Mr. Kluever represent a number of lenders and investors in seeking to recover for losses sustained as a result of fraud in the origination including without limitation fraudulent loan applications, financial statements and appraisals.

During his career, Mr. Meister has represented a broad range of business and real estate clients, including, bankruptcy trustees, a wide range of financial institutions, banks, a variety of small to mid-sized business clients and a number of Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Meister has over 19 years of litigation experience and worked at large Chicago law firms with Mr. Kluever, Mr. Platt, and Mr. Altman for many years prior to his affiliation with Kluever & Platt, LLC. Mr. Meister also was a partner in the Chicago office of one of Wisconsin’s largest law firms. He continues to practice in Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas, New York and pro hac vice on various matters in Florida.
